Talk about a snowball effect……
One of our Operation Strides participates came to NEC in a quiet sort of angry way.
He found a friendship with a horse which led to a smile.
He formed human friendship which helped him open up and communicate.
He decided to branch out and became a sidewalker for the program.
I watched the softness in his eyes care about the young rider as he supported her on his favorite horse to playing a game with another rider.
He felt needed and a sense of accomplishment
To think it all started with a horse!
